Climate Change

Things are really hotting up for the last days of the Olympics in London with temperatures of 27c expected today and tomorrrow for the final events. The millions of visitors to the Olympics will be able to enjoy London Parks looking  at their best with all the rain this summer followed by this welcome few days of high temperatures.

One of my favourite Royal Parks is Regents Park where every year they  create a spectacular tropical bed using large leaved plants such as ferns, bananas, cannas and a range of other fabulous tropical looking and flowering plants to transport you to another world.

If you want to experience the wonder of Regents Park check out their website or, better still, go and visit this amazingly beautiful garden over the next few days. Enjoy this very special corner of London!

I am not an experienced gardener - more of an enthusiastic amateur who learns by trial and error and who is keen to "manage" the effects of shifting weather patterns on my garden. Writing this blog is my passion and it has evolved over 12 years to inspire engagement with climate change outside our back doors, in our personal gardens and green spaces. My mission is to fertilise and expand this platform to grow a community of global gardeners communicating about the effects of climate change on our plants and exploring how each individual can make small changes in our lives to become more sustainable. The future of our gardens and #OurPlanet is in our hands - please plant your own seeds for our collective sustainable future.
