Most unusual year for UK weather

This year has seen one of the warmest autumns on record, particularly in the south and east of England. The mild weather has led to many crops such as raspberries and strawberries ripening out of season.

Let me know if you have had similar experiences to this farmer who is still picking his raspberries .To date there have been no real frosts in the south of England but … feel sure they must come soon!

I am not an experienced gardener - more of an enthusiastic amateur who learns by trial and error and is keen to "manage" the effects of the weather on my garden. Writing this blog is my passion and I hope that it will continue to grow, allowing global gardeners to communicate about the effects of climate change on our plants and the future of our gardens.
