In less than two weeks, thousands of people in hundreds of constituencies across the UK will tell their MP they care about climate change and ask them to take action to tackle it. Early November is a really crucial time – it‘s just before the start of the global climate talks in Cancun, Mexico, and an important energy bill is about to go through parliament.

I am not an experienced gardener - more of an enthusiastic amateur who learns by trial and error and who is keen to "manage" the effects of shifting weather patterns on my garden.
